I pride myself on the completely custom nature of my invitations at a reasonable price. If you value beautiful paper and want something completely unique for your event, you’ve come to the right place! I combine my modern graphic design skills with beautiful calligraphy and embellishments to bring your dream paper items to life. I strive to make this part of your planning process as easy as I possibly can, with a streamlined process and beautiful final product.
1. CONTACT & QUOTE
Once you contact me, I will send out a pre-quote questionnaire so I am able to give you an accurate quote. I will reach out with any questions and then get a quote to you within 5-7 business days. If requested, we can schedule an in-person or phone meeting to discuss. If you love the quote and want to go ahead, we move on to the next step!
2. CONTRACT & DOWN PAYMENT
Once you decide you want to work with me, I will send you a contract for both of us to sign. Then, I will send an invoice for a 30% down payment that will need to be paid before any design work is done. Lastly, I will send over a more detailed questionnaire for you to fill out and I will get to designing!
3. DESIGN & SAMPLES
This is the part where you get to sit back and relax while I design your dream invitations. I will send you digital samples of 1-2 invitation options. We will go back and forth until we find the perfect design, and I will send a final digital sample for proofreading. Any changes discussed will be made & I will send out a physical printed sample.
4. FINAL PRINTING
You will receive a bill for the remaining 70% of your bill before printing begins. Final printing then begins. If you have requested that I assemble your invitations, I will do that as soon as they are printed. Finally, we will either meet to drop off the invitations, or I will ship your invitations via USPS and send you tracking information.
ENVELOPE CALLIGRAPHY
I specialize in calligraphy, and envelope calligraphy is the perfect way to add a special & elegant element to your invitations, as the addressing is the first impression your guests will have!
INVITATION ASSEMBLY
If you are interested in me stuffing, sealing, or putting stamps on your invitation and RSVP envelopes, I can do it for you! My invitation design services does not include mailing automatically.
WRAPS & RIBBONS
To help pull your invitations together and create a lasting impression, you may consider using a paper wrap, belly band, ribbon, twine, or anything else.
WAX SEALS & STAMPS
A very pretty and elegant addition to your envelopes is a wax seal, with a pre-designed stamp or go the extra mile with a custom wax seal stamp!
HAND-DRAWN ELEMENTS
If you are looking for a specialty drawing in your invitation, like watercolor elements or venue drawings, I offer a variety of different artwork options.
PAPER UPGRADES
Some paper upgrades include handmade paper, colored paper, cotton paper, thicker paper, transparent vellum, etc. I also offer envelope liners!
SPECIALTY PRINTING
Beyond just basic flat (digital) printing, I also offer a variety of other printing methods. These include letterpress printing, foil printing, white ink printing, envelope address printing, & more!
UNIQUE INVITATION SHAPES
If you want to go beyond just rectangular invitations, I also offer specialty shapes, folds, and anything else you can imagine, like custom shapes, accordion folding, & more!
I now offer a curated collection of TWELVE Semi-Custom Invitations. Check them out if you are looking for something more budget-friendly, or visit the custom invitation information below if you’re looking for something completely unique!
Semi-custom invitation suites start at $4/suite*, which includes the main invitation, details card, rsvp card, outer envelope, and rsvp envelope. These designs are pre-designed, with the information, colors, and calligraphy being updated to fit your event.
Custom invitation suites start at $7/suite*, which includes the main invitation, details card, rsvp card, outer envelope, and rsvp envelope. With custom invitation pricing, it includes my fees for designing something completely unique for your event.
I keep my starting prices for both types of invitations simple, with no “extra” pieces (not everyone wants more than just that). Each design, semi-custom or custom, includes my calligraphy in the price, but does not go beyond that. Anything extra, like details cards, custom illustrations, envelope addressing or printing, envelope liners, assembly and mailing, etc. will add to that base price. To get a better idea of what the final price will look like, fill out the contact form below and I will send you a detailed quote.
*Slight discounts to the per invite price may be applicable if you order more than 100 suites, as my pricing includes both printing and design fee
In addition to invitation design & other stationery, I also provide design services for day-of items for weddings. Besides placecard and escort card calligraphy and signage, which I go into on my Calligraphy Services page, below are the other items I can design as a part of your custom stationery design package:
If you are looking to make your place setting a little bit more special, I offer menu designs to go with the rest of your design suite.
If you would like your vows to be displayed in a beautiful & unique way, I offer vow calligraphy for you & your new husband or wife.
I offer both traditional paper programs and large signs or printed banners with program details.
Do I need to live in the Milwaukee area?
Absolutely not. I work and print out of Milwaukee but I am willing to ship anywhere for an additional fee to cover shipping. If you do live in the Milwaukee area, great! You can save money on shipping and we can meet in person if you want to discuss your invitations!
Will I see the invitations before they print?
I start with sending you a digital file to approve, but I will gladly send you a physical copy of your invitation suite to sign off on, as long as it does not interfere with the timeline agreed upon ahead of time.*
*This does not include letterpress invitation suites
Do you print on colored or special paper?
We can print on colored paper, but keep in mind that we are unable to print white ink in house, and it is an expensive added cost to outsource. This means, if you choose to have your wording in white, the easiest way to print this is to print on white paper with the background color being the majority of the ink. Special paper always costs more, but we are able to print on it if that’s what you imagined as your invitation paper!
Can you do letterpress printing or gold foiling?
I do some letterpress printing in house, so I am able to offer it for an additional charge. I do not have the machine to do foil printing, but if you are interested in that, I can outsource for you! Please keep in mind that specialty printing is very expensive.
Do we have to print through you?
Absolutely not. I have special pricing for custom designs where all you receive is digital files. I do offer a discount on my services though if you do choose to print through my designated printer.
I’m getting married really soon! Can you do rush orders?
Depending on my workload at the time, I would love to try to do a rush order for you. An added charge will be assessed at the time of order if you choose a rush order.
Can I buy and send you my own paper products or envelopes?
I always understand that this can be a cheaper option, although it takes more effort and more time. I will first need a sample sent to me to make sure the printer I work with can use your paper, and that I can do calligraphy on the envelopes you want. I would prefer to source the paper and envelopes completely on my own to assure that it works, which is why I include the envelopes in my pricing.
How did you choose the printer you work with?
Not only is Tiprint a long-standing, reputable printer in the Milwaukee area, it is also owned by my boyfriend’s father. Tiprint is a small shop, which means they are able to fully focus on producing the most beautiful end results for their clients. I have worked with them now for more than six years and have never been disappointed.
