I’m Mariah – a graphic designer, calligrapher, and newbie letterpress printer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I’m a mostly self-taught graphic designer, and I quickly fell in love with traditional calligraphy and sending snail mail, an art that is dying in our technological world. MJ Creative Co. is my passion, where I work towards combining my modern graphic design style with old fashioned techniques. My goal is to create one-of-a-kind paper goods and custom designs that anyone will fall in love with (like I have). The newest addition to my business family is an early 1900’s Kelsey Star Job Press, a small, but beautiful letterpress printer that I love more than anything. I have a natural talent for letterpress, and I’m excited to start offering it to all of my clients! I have so much passion for the paper used, the impression it leaves with or without ink, and the handmade nature of something that we’re used to technology making easier.

More about me: I’m 29 years old, currently living in Cudahy, a suburb of Milwaukee. I have a big obsession with pretty much all dogs, and I have a sweet rescue pup named Archie with my boyfriend. In 2017, I battled cancer and won, and it has changed my whole outlook on life. One of the reasons I took the leap and launched my business is because of my cancer – it gave me the courage to do what I truly wanted to do; life is short.
